News Flash:I have posted a modified version of Kevin Deane-Freeman's acclaimed AlarmPlugin thatsupports FuzzyTime, so you can set an alarm that goes off at a timematches the time on your Squeezebox display - even if you have FuzzyTimeset to be a random number of minutes fast! kdf's plugin is more flexiblethan the standard alarms (it has Weekdays Only and Weekends Only options).If you need more than one alarm, install my 'B' and 'C' plugins, too. So if you setan alarm for 7:00 AM, and FuzzyTime is set to be 3 minutes fast, youralarm will go off when FuzzyTime reads 7:03 AM. There is not (yet) a (supported) FuzzyTime API toallow alarms to be scheduled to sound at 'fuzzy' time (see the'FuzzyTime for other Plugin developers' section, below). The standard SlimServer Alarms will sound at 'true' times.
Displaying the minutes means that some minutes will bea few seconds longer or shorter than a true minute, which is lessnoticable. If you display seconds, occasionally you'll seea particular time displayed for only half a second, or for one and ahalf seconds. FuzzyTime works best with screensaver time settings that do notinclude the seconds.Prefix The image above shows a prefix of '~', but you can change that characteror configure FuzzyTime to use no prefix - so its display looks just likethat of the regular Date and Time Screensaver. This PC software works fine with 32-bit versions of Windows 7/10/11. The following versions: 1.1 and 1.0 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. The software belongs to Development Tools. For instance, a minimum of 1.5 and maximum of5.0 in Random mode would instruct FuzzyTime to display a time that issomewhere between 90 seconds and 5 minutes ahead of the current time.FuzzyTime will gradually change the 'offset' from real time, moving its time between the two specified offsets. The programs installer is commonly called RegexFuzzer.exe. Random number of minutes FuzzyTime can be configured to display a time that is between arange of minutes fast. Fixed number of minutes FuzzyTime can be configured to always show a time that is exactlya certain number of minutes fast (set the minimum and maximum timesto the same number of minutes). This is thedefault, so if you attach a new player to your system, FuzzyTime willreport/display the correct time for it unless you choose otherwise.
